Tim's Schwinn

It doesn't have to be carbon and light to be sexy. Just look at Tim's schwinn. Pictured is Tim and his Schwinn SX 1000 Competition Scrambler, with Weinmann anodized red rims, ACS hubs, and it looks like all the stock goose neck and bar assembly. "16" was his Holiday Hills racing number, the hills being this funky ski resort on the outskirts of Spokane that had this cool downhill BMX track with ABA-sanctioned races. Tractor tread tires rounded out the package.

Speaking of sexy (and packages for that matter). Check out those shorts! Thank goodness for shadows or I may see bubble gum.
Tim's reply...
"I know. My mom bought those shorts at Albertsons and the mesh tank-top at Sears (we were poor, and I spent all my paper route money on bikes instead of clothes). The sticker towards the top of the number plate says "If you like your life as much as I like this bike, don't fuck with it". Brian the Schwinn guy kept those ones behind the counter"

Incidently, after blowing pretty much all my paper route and warehouse-sweeping money on it, I sold it for $125 and bought a Kobe Cobra road bike, my first real one at least. I bought it from Singletons' Cyclery on 6th Ave in Tacoma, if anyone remembers that.
